Jim Whelan

Jim serves as Chase Properties’ Vice President of Retail Transactions and is responsible for the oversight of all retail acquisitions and dispositions. Prior to joining Chase, he was a Director with Harbour Retail Partners, an investment and development firm operating primarily in the southeast. There he simultaneously managed the company’s dispositions, asset management, leasing, and property management. Before his time at Harbour, Jim spent 8 years with BC Wood Properties, an investment firm with more than 5 million SF of retail. As Director of Acquisitions, he played an integral role in growing BC Wood’s portfolio from 2.4 million SF to over 5 million SF of retail assets.

A graduate of Transylvania University, Jim went on to earn his Principal Broker’s license in 2015 and his CCIM designation in 2017. He resides in Louisville, KY with his wife, Lauren, and their daughter, Charlotte.
